Poe, who faced the deaths of his parents and other loved ones at a young age, was deeply familiar with loss, and he constantly confronted dark themes in his literature, weaving them seamlessly into his stories. His works reflect death creeping into the ordinary and the dark depths of the human psyche.

In "The Black Cat," we delve into the "evil" referenced in "The Black Cat" and the overarching theme of "death" that permeates his work, viewing it through a modern lens in 2024. Every person's view of death and evil may differ from Poe's, but we took inspiration from "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Black Cat," and "The Tell-Tale Heart" to craft a tale special to MazM. Adding imaginative elements to the Usher family's characteristics, the resulting narrative is more complex and intense than our previous work, "Kafka's Metamorphosis."
